CAST Installation Guide
This guide is optional and provided for your convenience. If you have not already scheduled your free installation call with a CAST professional, you can book your installation here.
Step 1: Connect Your Gateway
- Disconnect your old Wi-Fi router or device currently connected to your ISP modem.
- Plug your modem into the UDM-SE Gateway using the included cable.
Step 2: Add Power
- Plug the CAST Gateway into power.
- Wait a few minutes for the lights to turn on.
Step 3: Connect Your Access Point
- If you have an Access Point, plug it into the gateway using the included cable.
- Use the included desktop stand (if supplied) to place it in the area where you want stronger Wi-Fi coverage.
Step 4: Connect Your Devices
- For devices with cameras, simply scan the QR code provided to join your CAST Wi-Fi.
- Or, manually connect by selecting the correct SSID (network name) and entering the password shown on your device.
Step 5: You’re Done!
- Your system is pre-configured with firewall security and multiple Wi-Fi networks (Main, Guest, and IoT).
- Everything is ready — no technical setup required.
Important Installation Note:
CAST provides hands-on, on-site installation for local residents in Reno, NV and nearby cities. Our installation includes setting up the firewall gateway and Wi-Fi access points that are within easy reach.
We do not run network cables, climb ladders, or handle client devices such as PCs, laptops, printers, or other personal equipment. Our focus is strictly on installing and configuring the CAST firewall and Wi-Fi system.
If cable runs, wall drops, ceiling work, or other physical installation is required, CAST may coordinate a third-party installer when available. Any third-party work is not included and will be billed as an additional cost.
Our goal is to keep installations safe, efficient, and focused on delivering a secure and reliable Wi-Fi and Cybersecurity system.
